This call was to a person in the water at the back of the Kingsley Hotel Cork, Crew assemble and requested to

‘Stand Down’ by Velentia MRSC as Fire Service has recovered the person from the water.

 

 

 

 

Incident 05/09 – Fountainstown Beach

Pagers activated at 11:45hrs by Valentia MRCC, Call in relation to a report of an overturned pleasure craft at Fountainstown Beach, From a member of the public driving the coast road. The Person noticed what he said was an over turned boat in the water off the beach in Fountainstown & rang the Gardai.

Team assembled at Crosshaven station. Then made our way to Fountainstown

Fountainstown is 3km’s from Base

This turned out to be a racing mark used for yachts that had deflated & appeared to be an overturned boat.

False Alarm Good Intent

Crosshaven Lifeboat, Crosshaven Gardai.

 Team Stood down at 12:45hrs
